Additional Features and Benefits of the Sound Communications Group Security Audit:

Security/Compliance Audit

How safe is your PBX from today's sophisticated hackers that use illegal means to access your PBX? Just like a computer hacker, a PBX hacker employs an array of complex hacking tools ranging from password-stealing software to automatic dialers that perpetuate toll fraud. And hackers are difficult to detect until the damage is already done, often resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars. In addition to external threats, companies must protect themselves from unintended internal use of communications resources. These are sophisticated problems that require sophisticated countermeasures.

Sound Communications Group offers two solutions dedicated to PBX security and fraud detection.

Sound Communications Group Security Audit
Developed with an eye towards customer friendliness, the Sound Communications Group Audit is comprised of 85 separate analyses for the Nortel PBX (Meridian to CS1000), Call Pilot and Meridian Mail systems as well as Avaya platforms (G3v4 and later). Designed to exceed current industry standards, the Sound Communications Security Audit is a comprehensive and consultative report that identifies every conceivable "hole" or weak spot in the PBX and Voicemail System. Not only do the reports include detailed analyses and assessments of how the PBX is programmed, they specify, in user-friendly language, how to take corrective actions to enhance security and prevent unauthorized use in the future. That's the kind of protection against unwanted access and use that's needed today.

Since Sound Communications Group operates as a remote service bureau, no hardware or software is required, and no data preparation is necessary. All that is needed to perform the study is remote access to your system (1st and 2nd Level passwords will be required for the Nortel PBX). Once we have the necessary password information, our remote service bureau will initiate the call and retrieve the data necessary to complete the full audit.
